Panda bears are highly endangered. The birth of a panda baby is every time like a small miracle and a blessing for the preservation of the species.
Panda bears start small. Extremely small even. At birth, they weigh only about 100 g. That's as much as a bar of chocolate or a little yogurt. Apart from the kangaroos, no other mammal gives birth to such small babies. After four weeks, the babies have its typical black-and-white fur, after 6-8 weeks, they open the eyes for the first time. They stay with their mother for about two years and are very playful. Her mother loves to roll them gently back and forth and lovingly fights with them.
