Fernando had warned them: "Out of a hundred people who cross the river, only three make it to the border in the north and one makes it across." The five of them set off: Miguel, Fernando, Emilio, Jaz and Ángel. The young people have only just met, but they have a common goal - to make it across the border to the USA. If they stick together, they might have a chance. They have more than two and a half thousand kilometers ahead of them all over Mexico, which they cover as stowaways on freight trains. But their enemies are not only hunger and thirst, heat and cold. The trains are governed by their own laws and there are numerous dangers lurking along the way: accidents, bandits, corrupt police officers, drug dealers and people smugglers.
