Early childhood education action concepts

Pedagogical action concepts belong to the core of early childhood education. Despite their constitutive importance for professional early childhood education and early childhood education as a subdiscipline of educational science, there has been a lack of an overview that compiles theoretical and empirical knowledge on central early childhood education concepts. This book provides an up-to-date review of the current situation.
It presents and analyzes classical concepts such as Fröbel and Montessori pedagogy, but also newer concepts such as Reggio pedagogy and open work. With the pyramid approach and Tools of the Mind, international concepts that are still little known in the German-speaking world are taken into account.
