Lily and her family move in with her sick grandmother Halmoni. Even on the drive to her new home, she encounters a talking tiger that could have come straight out of one of Halmoni's Korean fairy tales. The tiger claims that Halmoni stole stories from him and the other tigers many years ago and locked them in jars. And he proposes a deal to Lily: If she retrieves the stories, her grandmother will be restored to health. The offer sounds tempting, but if there's one thing Lily knows, it's that tigers should never be trusted.
