Sophie's World

Mysterious letters end up in the mailbox of 15-year-old Sofie Amundsen in Oslo. What is the point of asking "Who are you?", "What is a human being?" and "Where does the world come from?". Sofie is irritated. The letters become more detailed and carry them off into the adventurous and mysterious world of thoughts of the great philosophers. Her unknown letter writer tells Sofie the history of Europe, antiquity, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance and then the story takes an incredible turn.
