RoooBERT Bayer, born in Vienna in 1968, turned his hobby into a profession at the age of 24. As a draughtsman no sheet of paper was safe from him now. From caricatures to wall paintings, he painted almost everything that came under his brush. Sabine Rahn studied German and English language and literature. Mary Pope Osborne was born in 1949 in Fort Skill, Oklahoma, and now lives in Connecticut with her husband Will, a well-known actor and theater director, and their dogs. Already as a child she travelled a lot and got to know the most different countries. With her family she lived in Austria, Oklahoma, Florida and elsewhere in America. After her studies, she was drawn back to faraway places and traveled through Asia for many months. Finally she began to write and became extraordinarily successful. In February 1993 Mary Pope Osborne was elected the 27th President of the Authors Guild, the oldest and most established organization for writers in America. After four years as president, she moved to the board of directors, of which she is still a member today.
In the meantime more than a hundred books by Mary Pope Osborne have been published. "The Magic Tree House" is one of the most popular children's book series both in the USA and now also in Germany. Mary Pope Osborne got the idea for this when one day she was walking through the forest with her husband Will and discovered an old, dilapidated tree house. Thereupon she tried to write about this tree house. In the first volume the two siblings Anne and Philipp discover a tree house full of books. They quickly find out that they can travel to all the places they see in the books. Thus begins the journey into foreign worlds and long gone times.
