Everyone knows about the dangers that LiPo batteries bring with them and the one or the other has such a battery already gone up in flames. With the MODSTER BAT-SAFE we offer you the first real protection for your Lipo batteries. Developed by Tom Mast, a renowned aeronautical engineer and enthusiastic model pilot. The idea came to him when his house almost went up in flames due to a LiPo fire. The BAT-SAFE is designed so that the batteries can be charged and of course stored inside. The charging cables are led through a flameproof opening to the outside. In the event of a fire in the battery, the resulting pressure inside can escape to the outside. This happens through the upper ventilation holes, at the same time the smoke is also filtered so that no harmful substances can escape to the outside. Inside the box up to 800° can occur during a fire. Due to the special insulation of the box, the bottom and the side wall get hot up to a maximum of 80°. The escaping gas reaches a maximum temperature of 150°. If the batteries are charged in the box, the maximum charge size of 60Ah or 60,000mAh for a single cell should not be exceeded as a reference size.
