Skin care for feet and hands in winter
Winter brings with it the cold weather, and more often than not, our hands and feet are the first victims. The cold air combined with low humidity often leads to dry skin, chapping, and peeling as well as other skin issues. To preserve the health and beauty of hands and feet at this time of the year, special care is required.
If you want to avoid tightness in your skin or itchy patches, moisturizing is a must. Ideally you should use a product that has ingredients like shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil or aloe vera which all have excellent healing properties for dry winter skin. It is important to apply cream after every shower and especially at night before going to bed so that it can be absorbed by your skin while you sleep.
In addition to moisturizer, exfoliating also helps remove dead skin while stimulating circulation in the area treated. You can make a homemade scrub using sugar or salt mixed with olive oil or almond oil; this simple scrub will help slough off dead cells so new ones can take their place. Make sure not to overdo it though! Exfoliate once a week at most as too much of it could cause irritation on sensitive skin types.
It's also important to wear gloves outside when temperatures get too low - especially when you’re dealing with snow or icy rain - since water tends to draw out moisture from your body quickly and make your hands even drier than before. Your gloves should be thick enough to protect against the cold but shouldn't constrict movement; look for ones made of wool or cotton for best results.
Finally, remember that what you eat has an impact on how healthy your hands and feet look. Eating foods rich in vitamin A (like carrots) will help keep them looking smooth while antioxidants such as vitamin C (from oranges) help reduce inflammation caused by environmental factors like frostbite or windburns - both of which are common in winter months if proper precautions aren’t taken! In general try to include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your daily meals so that you can get all the vitamins needed for glowing healthy skin all year round!
