The Zechstein Magnesium Flakes of the Zechmarinus brand are an absolutely natural bath additive for relaxing foot baths and magnesium-rich full baths. The Zechstein primordial sea is a former world sea, which was enclosed more than 250 million years ago by tectonic plate shifts about 1800 meters below the earth. With this Zechstein sea also the valuable magnesium was enclosed. In this way, the magnesium chloride was protected from harmful environmental influences and does not need to be chemically purified. Thanks to the most modern technologies in the Netherlands, magnesium oil in a brine concentration of 31% is gently brought to the surface from the depths. This extracted magnesium chloride-water solution, called magnesium oil, is heated so that the water evaporates. What remains are the solid components of magnesium chloride with a very high magneisum chloride concentration of 47%, the so-called magnesium chloride hexahydrate or bischite. The Zechstein Magnesium Flakes have different sizes, depending on the need and application.
