Curly scarf. "Curls" of a different kind: Ulrika Mårtensson and Margot Barolo experiment on a conventional knitting machine, trying out various knitting patterns in different wool thicknesses and elasticities in exaggeratedly pre-set tensions - until this checkerboard pattern of simple left and right stitches appears three-dimensional like airy waves. The wave-like elastic knitting pattern nestles gently and skin-friendly due to its high cotton content. In addition, the integrated "air pockets" in the knitting pattern build up a natural insulating layer, so that the cloth keeps body heat better inside.
