This provides higher thermal resistance than synthetic insulation of the same grammage. Thanks to the unique properties of the down material, there is no displacement of the down through the top or bottom fabric. As a result, this insulation material can be combined with the highly breathable Pertex Quantum Air outer fabric, resulting in a very warm, breathable and extremely lightweight insulation jacket. It is suitable either as an outer jacket or as a bottom layer under hardshell clothing. The hood is equipped with a synthetic insulation material for faster drying after precipitation or sweating through.
