Anibio Taurine

Taurine is essential for cats. The cat is not able (like dogs or humans) to produce taurine in the body itself. Since the taurine content in many ready-to-eat foods is too low to cover the corresponding requirements, it is very important to add it to the food supply. Taurine supports the metabolism, stimulates the immune system as well as kidney and liver function and plays a major role in the central nervous system. A lack of taurine can lead in the long term to e.g. blindness, disease of the heart muscle or disorders of the immune and nervous system.
