FINigrana Aleppo exfoliating soap is a traditional special soap recipe. The basis is a high proportion of olive oil in combination with particularly fine, red clay from the region of Aleppo and the addition of some laurel oil. Olive oil is made from the stone fruit of the olive tree, botanically "Olea Europea". The olive tree, originated in the Mediterranean region and is one of the oldest cultivated and useful plants. Its wood grows slowly, is strongly branched, its roots are deep and allow the tree to get enough water for its growth. It tolerates high heat but not frost. Olive leaves that are years old are shed regardless of the season, because the olive tree is an evergreen plant. Its narrow lance-shaped leaves are leathery green on top and silvery underneath. On the silvery leaf underside there are fine, star-shaped scale hairs, the so-called "STAR Hairs", which protect the foliage from drying out. Water escaping from the opening crevices is captured and returned to the leaf!
A similar effect takes place when olive soap is used on human skin. The moisturizing olive oil, main ingredient of this Aleppo soap, cleans, nourishes and cares for the skin without drying or irritating it. The self-regulating skin function is stimulated and promotes its re-fatting. A protective layer is formed and the skin can breathe and sweat. "TERRA ROSSA" cleanses the skin deep into the pores, provides it with minerals and trace elements, soothes skin irritations and absorbs excess skin fat. Excellent as a face mask or body scrub, especially for impure or oily skin. Leave the mild foam on the skin for a few minutes, then rinse with plenty of lukewarm water. In this way TERRA ROSSA soap gently frees the skin from impurities, the skin is better supplied with blood and receives new elasticity.
The contained laurel oil is obtained from the dark, berry-like fruits of the laurel bush by boiling and is a green, ointment-like mass. The large number of ingredients qualified the laurel oil as a remedy already in ancient times. Laurel oil is skin friendly, antibacterial, has anti-inflammatory effect. Traditionally, the valuable laurel oil, is added to the Aleppo soaps in different proportions. It strengthens the skin, gives the soaps the antiseptic properties and the distinctive, pleasant fragrance. Its antiseptic properties are an important effective factor in dealing with skin problems. The higher the laurel oil content of the soap, the more intense its fragrance and the higher its value.
