FINigrana Aleppo soap 24% laurel oil

FINigrana Aleppo soap, olive with 24% laurel oil is traditionally made from olive oil in artisan soap boiling - technique. Olive oil is obtained from the fruit of the olive tree (bot: Olea Europea). The olive tree, originally from the Mediterranean region and belongs to one of the oldest culture and useful plants. Its wood grows slowly, is strongly branched, its roots are deep and allow the tree to get enough water for its growth. It tolerates high heat but not frost. Olive leaves that are years old are shed regardless of the season, because the olive tree is an evergreen plant. Its narrow lance-shaped leaves are leathery green on top and shiny silvery underneath. On this silvery leaf underside are fine, star-shaped scale hairs, the so-called "STAR Hairs", which protect the foliage from drying out. Water escaping from the opening crevices is captured and returned to the leaf!
A similar effect takes place when olive soap is used on human skin. The moisturizing olive oil, cleans, nourishes and cares for the skin without drying or irritating it. The valuable laurel oil is extracted from the dark, berry-like fruits of the laurel bush by boiling and is a green, ointment-like mass. It contains mostly fatty, a small amount of essential oil. The large number of ingredients qualified the laurel oil as a remedy already in ancient times. It is skin friendly, antibacterial and has anti-inflammatory effect. Traditionally, laurel oil is added to Aleppo soaps in various proportions. It strengthens the skin, gives the soaps the antiseptic properties and the distinctive, pleasant fragrance. Its antiseptic properties are an important effective factor in dealing with skin problems. The higher the laurel oil content of the soap, the more intense its fragrance and the higher its value.
