FINigrana Aleppo soap 100% olive oil

FINigrana Aleppo soap, pure olive is made using traditional soap boiling technique. The olive oil is obtained from the fruit of the olive tree (bot: Olea Europea). The olive tree, originated in the Mediterranean region and is one of the oldest cultivated and useful plants. Its wood grows slowly, is strongly branched, its roots are deep and allow the tree to get enough water for its growth. It tolerates high heat but not frost. Olive leaves that are years old are shed regardless of the season, because the olive tree is an evergreen plant. Its narrow lance-shaped leaves are leathery green on top and silvery underneath. On this silvery leaf underside are fine, star-shaped scale hairs, the so-called "STAR Hairs", which protect the foliage from drying out. Water escaping from the opening crevices is captured and returned to the leaf!
A similar effect takes place when using olive soap on human skin. The moisturizing olive oil, cleans, nourishes and cares for the skin without drying or irritating it. The self-regulating skin function is stimulated and promotes its re-fattening. A protective layer is formed and the skin can breathe and sweat. Olive trees can live several hundred years. The oil contains a high proportion of monounsaturated fatty acids, oleic acid, linoleic acid, palmitic acid, eicosenoic acid, palmitoleic acid and is a carrier for the fat-soluble vitamin E.
The history of the olive tree dates back to ancient times, archaeological findings indicate that cultivation took place as early as 4000 BC. Frequent references in ancient writings suggest that the origin of the cultivated olive tree is in Syria. In the dry climate of the Middle East, olive oil was an important and healthy staple food, which was also used for medicinal and cosmetic purposes. In the economy, religion, art and many myths reflected this important role of the olive tree. The oil was used in sacrifices, as fuel oil and also for anointing the hair and body.
