FINigrana Aleppo soap 4% laurel oil

FINigrana Aleppo soap, olive with 4% laurel oil is made in traditional soap boiling technique. Olive oil is obtained from the fruit of the olive tree, botanically called "Olea Europea". The olive tree, originally from the Mediterranean region, is one of the oldest cultivated and useful plants. Its wood grows slowly, is strongly branched, its roots are deep and allow the tree to get enough water for its growth. It tolerates high heat but not frost. Olive leaves that are years old are shed regardless of the season, because the olive tree is an evergreen plant. Its narrow lance-shaped leaves are leathery green on top and silvery underneath. On this silvery leaf underside are fine, star-shaped scale hairs, the so-called "STAR Hairs", which protect the foliage from drying out. Water escaping from the opening crevices is captured and returned to the leaf!
A similar effect takes place when using olive soap on human skin. The moisturizing olive oil, cleans, nourishes and cares for the skin without drying or irritating it. Laurel oil is obtained from the dark, berry-like fruits of the laurel bush "Laurus Nobilis" by boiling and is a green, ointment-like mass. Laurel oil contains predominantly fatty, a small proportion of essential oil. The large number of ingredients qualified the laurel oil as a remedy already in ancient times. Laurel oil is skin friendly, antibacterial and has anti-inflammatory effect. Traditionally, the valuable laurel oil is added to Aleppo soaps in various proportions. It strengthens the skin, gives the soaps the antiseptic properties and the distinctive, pleasant fragrance. Its antiseptic properties are an important effective factor in dealing with skin problems. The higher the laurel oil content of the soap, the more intense its fragrance and the higher its value.
