Description
RICINE toothbrush
The RICINE toothbrush is manufactured without petroleum and has bristles that are instead based on cracked acini oil.
The rounded medium-soft bristles provide thorough cleaning while avoiding unwanted damage to tooth enamel and irritation to gums. The vegetable wax coating of our wooden toothbrushes gives a smooth finish and beautiful look. It also prevents irritation to the mouth and gums. Last but not least, it also increases the life of your Liebwerk toothbrush, as the coating provides moisture protection.
We assure that our wooden toothbrush meets the best standards and you will always leave the bathroom with a bright smile from now on.
- 3 different creative engravings to dream about
- Riscinus oil based bristles
- Guaranteed removal of plaque and food particles
- Vegetable wax coating of the wooden handle
- Reduction of your plastic waste
Tips and Tricks:
Yes, using a toothbrush shouldn't be too difficult now, but we still have a few valuable tips to extend the life of your wooden toothbrush:
- It's best to dry the wooden handle after use and protect it from moisture.
- If you like, you can treat the wooden handle from time to time with a vegetable oil, for example your sunflower or olive oil, so that it remains supple for longer and is even better protected from moisture.
- After two months of use, the Liebwerk wooden toothbrush will also have had its day. You can then break off the brush head and dispose of it in the household waste, the handle can be reused as desired or end up in the organic waste, your choice to make.
What are the advantages of wood over bamboo?
We ourselves are enthusiastic about bamboo as an ecological raw material. However, Moso bamboo (also known as giant bamboo), which is suitable for toothbrush production, only grows in Asia and South America. Its import is associated with long transport routes and thus also high CO2 emissions, which ultimately severely diminish the ecological advantage of bamboo. In addition, there is a lack of transparency in the cultivation and processing of giant bamboo, which makes us convinced that the use of local and certified raw materials such as wood is the only ecologically correct way.
What kind of wood is used for the handles?
The handles of our Liebwerk toothbrushes are made of FSC-certified Swiss beech wood. Its hardness, durability and bending properties make beech wood the ideal raw material for the production of toothbrushes. Moreover, it is the best available hardwood species from sustainable forestry. The FSC wood comes mainly from Toggenburg (SG) and partly from the St. Gallen Rhine Valley and the Zurich Oberland.
