Naturtint hair color - advice
If you are using Naturtint hair color for the first time or if you are looking for a new color, use the codes that will help you find the most suitable color. Each Naturtint shade has an assigned code which mostly consists of a number and a letter. The number represents a scale of how light or how dark a color is. 1 is the darkest color, 10 is the lightest color. The letter after that tells you what kind of tone and color to expect.
N = natural, G = golden, M = mahogany, C = copper, R = red, I = shimmer, A = ash.
You can dye your hair as dark as you like. However, they will only get lighter by one or two shades at a time dyeing. As a general rule, starting from the natural hair color, you should dye either one or two shades darker or lighter. This will suit your skin tone.
If you want to use a brighter tone like mahogany (M) or copper (C) and have gray hair, mix that color with a similarly numbered natural (N) hair color for even and natural-looking gray hair coverage.
The ashy shades (A) are generally not meant to be used alone. Use them to darken or tone down hair colors - for example, if hair is too yellow, too orange, brassy or red.
