Home Sampling STI Check (vaginal)

The self-sampling STI kit (vaginal) can be used to detect the three most common sexually transmitted bacterial pathogens. The detection of Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Mycoplasma genitalium is carried out using the PCR method, in which the pathogens are detected directly from the sample material. All three pathogens that are tested can be treated with antibiotics. The insidious thing about sexually transmitted infections is that there are usually no noticeable signs of illness and only targeted testing can rule out an infection. From 5-10 days after an unprotected contact, testing can be done with the Home Sampling STI Kits. It is important that the sample is taken from the sites where risk contact has occurred (throat, vagina, anus). If all possible sites are not tested, there is a possibility that an infection (for example, in the throat) will be missed.
