All three pathogens that are tested can be treated with antibiotics. The insidious thing about sexually transmitted infections is that, as a rule, no signs of disease are noticeable and only targeted testing can rule out an infection. Since the bacterial STI pathogens penetrate the mucous membranes and are transmitted via the mucous membranes or body fluids, it is important that samples are taken at the possible entry points of the pathogens. In addition, smear infections can also cause the pathogens to be transmitted from one place to another via the fingers or sex toys. For example, the pathogens can also colonize the anus, without which unprotected anal sex would have taken place. The Combo Kit enables easy sampling at these three locations (vagina, throat, anus) and thus provides reliable information about a possible infection with one of the pathogens tested.
