The year is 2419. All information about a planet called Artemia seems to have been erased from the official maps. Curious, you go on an expedition there.
When entering the atmosphere, however, a strong magnetic field disrupts your ship's computer systems, incapacitating them and causing the ship to spin towards the surface. The captain sends an emergency call and orders the evacuation. You wake up unharmed after the crash and start exploring the area when the captain lets out a scream. In the distance you can see the outline of something watching you.
Not Alone is a psychological deduction tactics card game for 2-7 expert players, ages 10+, in which the players embody the crew of the crashed spaceship who are waiting to be rescued. However, one player takes on the role of the "being", the protector of the planet, who immediately begins to hunt down the crew members ...
The space travelers must now try to develop a common tactic - but the being is listening in ... How will you be able to leave the planet safe again?
The party whose marker is on the target space first wins. For the hunted this means salvation, for the creature the successful assimilation of the intruders into the planet.
A round has four phases: exploration, hunting, settlement and end of the round. During the exploration, the hunted each play a face-down location card, and they are also allowed to coordinate with one another. Then the creature goes on the hunt by placing its three markers on three location cards. This is followed by the accounting, in which, among other things, the hunted, if they were not caught by the creature, carry out the local actions. Since the actions are planned almost at the same time, the individual rounds run quickly and with little waiting time.
