Description
Never give up! Escape from the reformatory. Anja's mother applied to leave the GDR and was arrested by the Stasi. The 14-year-old is sent to a Jugendwerkhof, a youth welfare institution. Shocked by the arbitrariness of the educators, the violence and the drill, Anja soon only wants to escape. She actually manages to escape, but only for a short time. Anja keeps asking herself what she has actually done wrong. When she snaps one day, she is taken to Torgau, to a closed institution. There she meets Tom, who, like her, does not want to give up.
An exciting novel about arbitrariness and violence in the Jugendwerkhof in the GDR. Carefully researched by the author, who was herself involved in the civil rights movement.
