The BAT-SAFE is the only protection for LiPo batteries on the market that actually works. Developed by Tom Mast, a renowned aeronautical engineer and avid model flyer. The idea came to him when his house almost went up in flames due to a LiPo fire. The BAT-SAFE is designed so that the batteries can be charged and of course stored inside. The charging cables are led through a flame-proof opening to the outside. In the event of a battery fire, the resulting pressure inside can escape to the outside. This happens through the upper ventilation holes, at the same time the smoke is also filtered so that no harmful substances reach the outside. In the interior of the box, up to 800° can occur during a fire. Due to the special insulation of the box, the bottom and the side wall get hot up to a maximum of 80°. The escaping gas does not get hotter than 150°. You can store or charge six 6S (22.2V) LiPos with 5000mAh or three 12S (44.4V) LiPos with 5000mAh or one 36V (17Ah) eBike lithium battery in the box without any problems.
