If the connected battery reaches the end-of-charge voltage during charging, the charging current is regulated back and the battery is thus protected against overcharging. Three LEDs permanently inform about the current operating status. Due to the fully electronic voltage and current limitation, a connected battery is always kept at optimum charge and at the same time the dangerous overcharging and the resulting formation of oxyhydrogen gas is prevented.
