Next to the Glacier Express, the Bernina Express is one of the most popular tourist trains of the Rhaetian Railway. The railroad is one of the largest privately owned railroads in Switzerland, with a network of more than 400 km, connecting world-famous tourist destinations such as St. Moritz and Davos. It has been a sister railroad to Japan's Hakone Tozan Railway for 35 years and the two companies continue to exchange nicknames for their trains. The Allegra has a unique low-floor body structure that allows it to be used to pull passenger trains. It can travel at speeds of 100 km/h, making it an extremely versatile high-performance train that can be used on a variety of Rhaetian Railway routes. The Bernina Express is a sightseeing train that runs between Chur (Switzerland) and Tirano (Italy) on the Albula and Bernina line, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008. Since 2018, the train's panorama car has been adorned with a new logo.
